Dr. Amir Ghazi

“I hardly remember my first chiropractic experience at the age of two,” admits Dr. Amir Ghazi. “I do remember, as a child, being excited to go to the chiropractor. No matter what the ailment, whether a miscalculated stunt from a tree in the yard or bouts of asthma, I always felt better after a visit to my chiropractor.”

“I was shocked,” continues Dr. Ghazi, “to learn my ailing college roommate had not only never been to a chiropractor, but had never heard of a chiropractor. ‘How could this be,’ I thought. I assumed everyone went to the chiropractor when not feeling their best.”

His interest in health led to a BS in Kinesiology at Texas A&M, and upon graduation he worked as a personal trainer. “It was not long after, I realized that I wanted to do more to assist people to get and stay healthy.”

Chiropractic Education

Dr. Ghazi was accepted to Parker College of Chiropractic in Dallas, Texas. While studying for his doctorate, he was introduced to the specialty of chiropractic neurology. “Being scientific minded, I was naturally attracted to the objective methods of chiropractic neurology. I was very impressed with how much faster patients improved, especially those with complicated conditions,” states Dr. Ghazi. With this new found passion, Dr. Ghazi completed an additional four years post doctoral education to become a Certified Clinical Chiropractic Neurologist (C.C.C.N.) and a board certified Diplomat of Chiropractic Neurology (DACNB).

After graduating, Dr. Ghazi practiced in rural Queensland, Australia for a year. “The Aussies are very health conscious and largely prefer natural treatment options. It was a great experience to witness patients respond to natural health care.” He believes there is a time and place for both chiropractic and conventional medicine and routinely work with patients’ general practitioner to provide the most comprehensive care. He continues, “However, clinically I have observed that patients who naturally maintain their health are more likely to avoid riskier treatments, like drugs and surgery.”

In 2005, Dr. Ghazi returned home to Texas and has practiced in Georgetown until opening Austin Chiropractic Neurology in 2009. “It is my passion to continue helping my patients and community to achieve and maintain the health they want and deserve.”

What is the key to optimal health?

“Understanding health is not only a destination but a journey,” responds Dr Ghazi. “I believe the most effective way to influence others is to lead by example, so I only make recommendations that I would follow or would have my family follow,” he adds. “I personally strive daily to maintain the standards of optimal health I set for my patients – appropriate physical activity, nutritious food, quality vitamin/minerals and balanced mental/emotional routine.” He enjoys staying healthy and active by practicing martial arts, running with his dog Rook at the park, wakeboarding, rock climbing, weight training at the gym, cooking healthy meals and spending quality time with loved ones.

Dr. Ghazi would like to welcome you to take the first step on your journey to optimal health by offering you a complimentary consultation to listen to your health concerns and goals.
